This article aims to analyze the relationship between companies’ social and environmental goal orientation and employee job satisfaction, with particular attention to the temporal consistency of this relationship. We assume that concern for sustainability issues, particularly social and environmental ones, constitutes a significant determinant of job satisfaction. Furthermore, this study uniquely investigates whether this relationship remains stable over time, thus addressing the issue of temporal consistency. To achieve the study's objective, microdata from the German labor market were used. These data were collected in three waves (2018/19, 2020/21, and 2024) of the Linked Personnel Panel study. The dataset was limited to individuals who participated in each wave of the study, resulting in longitudinal data. A multinomial ordered logit models were used. The obtained results indicate that the higher the level of companies' implementation of social and environmental goals, the higher the chances of higher job satisfaction.
