Abstract

The relevance of the study is determined by the growing role of environmental responsibility of business and sustainable development values in shaping consumer behavior and long-term relationships between brands and their target audience. The growth of environmental awareness of consumers necessitates the transition from the declarative use of "green" messages to scientifically based strategies of green marketing and eco-branding, based on transparency, authenticity and verification of environmental attributes. The purpose of the study is to theoretically substantiate the mechanisms of influence of green marketing and eco-branding on the formation of consumer loyalty through the value integration of sustainable development. The methodological basis was the analysis and synthesis, comparison, systematization, theoretical generalization and content analysis of scientific literature, thematic research and structural-logical modeling. The conceptual differences and relationships between green marketing and eco-branding are highlighted, their key tools are clustered, and the role of environmental values in consumer behavior is identified. The impact of green marketing on long-term loyalty is multi-level and is carried out through the perceived value of the green product, green trust, perceived brand authenticity, value congruence and environmental satisfaction. The congruence of brand values and consumers' personal beliefs has been substantiated as a factor in strengthening the emotional connection and sustainable connection with the eco-brand. It was found that greenwashing increases consumer skepticism and perceived risk, reduces trust and long-term brand value. A shift to an evidence-based green marketing model is proposed, which includes verification of environmental claims, transparency of information, third-party verification of environmental characteristics and consistency of communication with actual business practices. The practical implications of this study are, firstly, that they can be used to improve eco-branding strategies in order to reduce the risk of greenwashing and build long-term consumer loyalty based on sustainable values.
