European Journal of Sustainable Development: Is a double blinded peer-reviewed open access journal, published under the supervision of the European Center of Sustainable Development.
Aims and Scope: EJSD was established as the official journal of European Center of Sustainable Development (ECSDEV), to provide an international forum for debates among diverse disciplines, such as human development, environmental and energy economics, education studies, and related fields. The scope of the journal therefore allows for contributions which have a local, national or global focus from a philosophical to a practical perspective in the field of Sustainability Science.
Our aim is to encourage scientists to publish their experimental and theoretical research relating to the Sustainability Science in as much detail as possible in order to promote scientific predictions and impact assessments of global change and development. Full experimental and methodical details must be provided so that the results can be reproduced.
Publication schedule. The European Journal of Sustainable Development is currently being published in one volume per year of three issues in the months of Febbruary, June and October along with the Online version.
Call For Papers: Volume 10, Issue 3, October 2021: Manuscripts can be submitted electronically to: ejsd@ecsdev.org
EJSD Journal will consider only manuscripts submited through institutional email addresses that can be easily verified. Submitted manuscripts must not have been published previously, moreover submission to the journal will be deemed to imply that the manuscript will not be submitted elsewhere if accepted.
The language of the manuscript should be English or Italian. A research article should comprise of the title, authors, affiliation of authors, a sufficiently informative abstract of about 150 words (English only), Keywords, and Introduction of the paper. `
The Editorial Decision: Reviewers evaluate the manuscript on the basis of originality, technical quality, clarity of presentation, and importance to the field. The Editors evaluate the reviewers’ arguments in the context of the scope and aims of the journal and make the final decision on each manuscript. The possible decisions include: accept; revise to address the concerns of the reviewers before the editors make a final decision; reject but consider a resubmission if significant additional work is completed; or decline on the grounds of major technical or interpretational flaws, insufficient advance, or lack of novelty and interest.
In cases when reviewers make different or conflicting recommendations, the Editors may request additional information from the reviewers, consult other experts, and/or ask the authors to clarify sections in question. Some manuscripts that are declined may be considered upon resubmission if significant additional work is completed, but authors are required to let the Editor know that the work is being resubmitted for reconsideration.
Reviewers may be asked to review subsequent versions of the manuscript, especially if new data have been added to the paper, to evaluate whether the authors have addressed the scientific concerns. In such cases, blind copies of all reviewers’ comments are normally sent to the reviewers. The Editors will expedite any additional rounds of reviews to ensure timely publication. Any appeals should be addressed to the Editor (editor@ecsdev.org) and should include a concise statement of the specific reason for appeal. The Editors strongly disapprove of any attempts by authors to determine the identity of reviewers or to confront potential reviewers. The editorial policy of this journal is neither to confirm nor to deny any speculation about the identities of our reviewers.
Correction of the galley proofs is the responsibility of the Corresponding Author. Extensive or important changes on page proofs, including changes to the title or list of authors, are subject to review by the editor. The corresponding author will receive galley proofs, which should be corrected and returned within 48 hours of receipt. Authors must retain a copy of every contribution, as these will not be sent along with the proofs to be corrected by the authors.
Plagiarism Policy: The EJSD Journal will judge any plagiarism policy on its own merits. If plagiarism is detected either by the editors, peer reviewers or editorial staff at any stage of the publication the author/s will be requested to rewrite the text or quote exactly and to cite the original source. If the plagiarism is extensive, that is, if at least 25% of the original submission is plagiarism - the article may be rejected.
Responsibility of the contents rests upon the authors and not upon the publisher.
